Turquoise topsy turvy with black-tipped roses

The couple who ordered this cake are fun and easy going and wanted something to reflect their style for their wedding. They didn't want the "traditional" wedding cake. Their colors were white, turquoise and black. We decided to incorporate the black in the roses. I tipped the large white roses with black and then painted the small roses & buds entirely black. They turned out perfect! The flavor was lemon with vanilla.
